Showcooking Extremadura Gourmet

Showcooking by chef Alejandro Hernández at the Versátil restaurant, with a presentation and explanation of various recipes displaying Extremadura's gastronomic identity.

The culinary offer will use the region's best raw produce bearing the Extremadura Food seal of quality, products with the backing of Extremadura's Designations of Origin and Protected Geographic Identifications, and also the Sustainable Gastronomic Routes: the Olive Oil Route, Cheese Route, Extremadura's Route of Iberian Ham from its "dehesa" pastures, and the Guadiana's Wine and Cava Ribera Route.

Extremadura Gourmet is an initiative launched by the Department of Tourism to boost the region's gastronomy tourism. It sets out to bring together the infinite expressions of Extremadura's gastronomy by means of a number of initiatives, including the Sustainable Gastronomic Routes and support for events and projects focusing on gastronomy and the thousand-year legacy of our recipes and chefs.
