Akelarre post-pandemic
The eternal three-star, the chef with the uncontrolled moustache, in Gastronomika he will explain how his Akelarre has navigated through the Cantabrian at full sail after weathering the pandemic storm.
With the Akelarre complex at full speed (hotel and two restaurants, Akelarre and Oteiza), Pedro Subijana’s moustache is pointier than ever. Surpassing 70, the genius from Igeldo continues to spearhead Spanish haute cuisine and he will prove this yet again on the stage of his congress.
At Gastronomika he will talk about how a transatlantic liner such as his has weathered these difficult years and how old rockers never die. In 2020 he celebrated Akelarre’s silver anniversary at the congress. We’ll see what he has in store for the 50 plus 2.
