Tenerife's sweet revolution. Two avant-garde chefs

No "papa" potatoes, "mojo" sauce or "almogrote" cheese sauce. Tenerife arrives at this year's Gastronomika all sweet and youthful.

An island with a long tradition in sweet fare, Tenerife has been experiencing a full-blown pastrymaking revolution in recent years. A movement led by a new wave of young pastrymakers who, by drastically reducing sugar contents and adding exotic fruit, vegetables and cosmopolitan ingredients, have brought about a sweet rupturistic state-of-the-art: Tenerife's new sweet fare.

The talk will feature three of Tenerife's new pearls commenting on the sweet present of the island that is home to the Teide volcano.
